After finishing the reading for that day, pick one passage to focus on in your journal. Read through the passage and open your heart to a single word or phrase that reaches out to you and meditate upon that word/phrase for a moment. Re-read the passage again and ask how the reading relates to your life presently. Read the passage a third time and reflect on what concrete actions God might be calling you to take through His words in the passage. This method of prayer is an ancient Christian method called Lectio Divina.
