'for I am fearfully & wonderfully made'
Whether psalms in English, mizmor in Hebrew or zabur in Arabic, the
psalms form some of the most well known and best-loved parts of
scripture in many religious traditions. From the Greek word,
psalmos it means sacred song.
Psalm 139 is a meditation on God's greatness and omniscience. Line
14, 'for I am fearfully and wonderfully made' is a particularly
beautiful evocation of the miracle of creation. As such, it is a
most apt inscription for this child's cuff, a gift or keepsake for
